Tovino Thomas’ Malayalam Film ‘2018’ Is India’s Entry To Oscars 2024

Tovino Thomas is a stellar Malayalam actor, who has stunned us in the past with movies like Minnal Murali, Forensic, Uyare and many more. It surely was a great day for this actor as he welcomed not one but two exciting news today. On one hand, the actor won the Best Asian Actor trophy at the Septimius Awards for 2018. On the other hand, his same film 2018 – Everyone is a Hero, directed by Jude Anthany Joseph, has been selected as India’s official entry to compete at the Oscars 2024 race in the Best International Feature Film category.

To celebrate these two amazing feats, the actor took to Instagram and expressed his gratitude towards these two iconic wins of his own. He also wrote, “Thrilled, Elevated, Excited… That’s what I’m doing right now. Hoping to hear “And the Oscar goes to”… Fingers Crossed…” and also shared a video expressing his excitement. The film is based on the devastating 2018 floods that rocked the state of Kerala, is a hyperlink thriller following people from all walks of life who were affected by the calamity and their resilience during tough times.

I am quite excited for Tovino and his film, and I hope to see it get nominated at the Oscars this year, and also hoping for it to win the Oscars!
